Origin of the Idea:Natural Spanish marble features a texture reminiscent of mist and clouds—fluid, flowing patterns that exude a sense of sophisticated natural elegance. When illuminated, it diffuses light into a soft, even glow—glare-free and gentle on the eyes—creating an ethereal, "light luxury" aesthetic when lit. It pairs perfectly with metals treated with an antiqued, matte finish.
A Scientific Overview of the Formation of Spanish Marble:
Source of Materials
In ancient times, the Iberian Peninsula (where Spain is located) lay beneath the waters of the Tethys Ocean. Following the death of vast quantities of marine organisms—such as corals, shells, and algae—their skeletons and remains (rich in calcium carbonate, CaCO₃) continuously accumulated on the ocean floor.
Diagenesis
As layers of sediment stacked one upon another, the pressure exerted by the overlying strata caused the underlying layers to gradually undergo compaction, dewatering, and cementation, thereby forming limestone (a sedimentary rock) characterized by a relatively porous texture and fine-grained structure.
The vintage aesthetic of the lighting fixtures blends seamlessly with the interior.
